Baseball Promotional Nights: $5,000 Grand Slam Inning

baseball promotional nights - grand slam inningAre you looking for an exciting baseball contest that will showcase you team or a key sponsor’s business during a baseball promotional night?  Odds On has been working with a Minor League Baseball team based out of the Northeastern U.S. to insure a baseball promotion at ten of their games during the season!

For this team’s baseball promotional nights,  the contest is a Grand Slam Inning promotion. During each of the ten games, if a member of the team makes an out of the park grand slam home run during the 4th inning of the game, one randomly selected fan will score a $5,000 home theater system, compliments of local Audio/Video retailer  – the contest sponsor, and paid for by Odds On Promotions!

Baseball Contest Ideas: Grand Slam Inning Promotion

baseball contest ideas - grand slam inningIn need of baseball contest ideas for your next big game, or for an upcoming MiLB league play-off event?  Then you’re going to love the baseball promotion I helped this Minor League Baseball team in the Midwestern U.S. insure as an Opening Day event — a Grand Slam Inning contest!

On the specified promotion date, the baseball team, who had teamed up with a local bank sponsor, chose one lucky fan, at random, to be part of one of Odds On Promotions‘ baseball contest ideas – a Grand Slam Inning promotion.  Here are the details on how it worked: if a member of the team scored a grand slam homerun in the 5th inning of the game, that lucky pre-selected fan would have scored $53,000 in cash… paid for by Odds On! While unfortunately, there was no grand prize winner, attendance at the Opening Day game was greatly increased and fan engagement was high!

Did you know you can award your fans big with any sort of prize play promotion?  For example, when it comes to baseball, if the game results in a shut out or if your team makes a triple play, your fans can reap the rewards –  up to $1,000,000, thanks to Odds On’s prize insurance!

Baseball Promotion Idea: Ten Millionth Fan Promotion!

baseball promotion idea - nth fanI’m back with another baseball promotion idea that a Minor League Baseball team insured in the Midwest – and it also happens to be an “nth” fan promotion, just like the prior baseball promotion idea story that I shared earlier!

Here’s how the promotion worked: On the specified promotion date, fans were eligible to sign up and be chosen to participate in the promotion at the baseball game through the 4th inning.  The ten millionth fan through the turnstyle became the lucky contestant in Odds On’s “Ten Runs and Win the Game” promotion!  If the baseball team scored exactly ten (10) runs and ended up winning the game, the lucky fan would have been awarded $10,000… compliments of Odds On Promotions!

While unfortunately, there was no grand prize winner, the MiLB team played it smart and didn’t dare leave the lucky 10,000,000th fan empty-handed: they were awarded with a team prize pack, valued at $1,500, which consisted of tickets, various team-branded memorabilia and more!

I love “nth” fan promotions – they’re a great way to increase game day attendence and  excitement among fans.  Especially when the promotion doesn’t consist of a skills-based contest — the fans merely walk through the turnstyle, the “nth” fan is chosen to be the contestant and sit back and watch the game, in hopes of a certain prize play occurring!

That’s not to say that we don’t offer various baseball promotion ideas which consist of prize plays, however — check out a list of the baseball promotion ideas on our website and then give Odds On Promotions a call today at 888-827-2249 for a free, no-obligation quote… or if you have a unique promotion idea of your own!  You can also email us for more information.

Baseball Contest Idea: $1,000,000 Lucky Envelopes Contest!

baseball contest idea - lucky envelopesAre you looking for a fabulous baseball contest idea that will excite your fans and draw a crowd to your next big game?  How about theming the promotion around your fanbase, just like this Minor League Baseball client of mine in the Southeastern U.S. did during their One Millionth Fan Celebration!

Here’s how this particular baseball contest idea worked: The “nth” (in this case, the 1,000,000th) fan that walked through the turnstyle was selected to participate in a Lucky Envelopes promotion for a chance to win big after the 7th inning of the big baseball game that evening!  This “Pick ‘Til You Win”-style promotion gave the lucky fan the opportunity to choose from 5 of 40 money bags, each of which contained an envelope.  If the fan happened to choose the five envelopes which happened to contain matching grand prize inserts, they would have won $1,000,000… paid for by Odds On Promotions!

The promotion doesn’t just end there, however!  The best part about using our “Pick ‘Til You Win”-style Lucky Envelopes game as a baseball contest idea is the fact that the contestant is a winner regardless!  Two other prizes were up for grabs: a $30,000 vehicle, also insured by Odds On, and FREE tickets for LIFE — self-insured by the baseball team!  It was just a matter of which 5 matching inserts were collected by the fan first!

Unfortunately, while the fan didn’t end up scoring the $1,000,000 insured prize, she still received two free tickets for life!  Want to give your “nth” fan the opportunity to bring a guest to come see your team play for the rest of their lives?  Better yet, want to offer an insured grand prize of up to $1,000,000?  Odds On Promotions can make it happen with one of our baseball contest ideas!  Give us a call today at 888-827-2249… or email us with any questions!

Casino Sports Sponsorship: Make The Most of Your Investment

$10,000 Grand Slam Inning winner from 2011’s baseball promotion!

Does your casino sponsor a sports team?   I recently helped a Minor League Baseball team in the West Coast insure both a Grand Slam Inning promotion, as well as a Jumbo Dice Roll contest in order to drive traffic back to the casino sponsor’s property… for the 6th year in a row!

Here’s how the casino made the most of their sports sponsorship:

The property insured a Grand Slam Inning promotion during every game this season.  One lucky fan was selected at random before each game and got the chance to win $10,000 in cash if the 4th batter of the team managed to hit an out-of-the-park grand slam homer during the 6th inning of any of the games.   Prize paid for by Odds On Promotions, of course!

$5,000 Casino Dice Roll Winner from 2009’s promotion!

Meanwhile, as a season-long traffic driver, a Jumbo Dice Roll promotion was held at the local casino, on the same dates as each of the baseball games.  Fans who visited the casino after each game got the chance to be one of the lucky pre-selected players to participate in the dice roll contest.  One player on each promotion date rolled six custom jumbo dice.  If all six dice that were rolled landed with the casino’s logo face-up, they would have won $45,000, paid for by Odds On!

But wait, there’s more — if a player happened to roll the dice and 5/6 logos displayed face-up after the roll, they would have still scored $5,000, paid for by Odds On Promotions!  That’s a total of $50,000 in promotion insurance!

While there was no winner this time around, the baseball team, as well as the casino, have both had winners in the past!  In 2009, there was a $5,000 Dice Roll contest winner and in 2011, there was a $10,000 Grand Slam Inning promotion winner!
