Mark Rubin, Wall Street’s Best Athlete, raised $9,438 for pediatric cancer research.<\/p><\/div>\n

On\u00a0July 29, 2012,\u00a0Wall Street came together at Columbia University\u2019s Wien Stadium\u00a0to raise money for\u00a0the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center<\/a> and\u00a0to crown Wall Street’s Best Athlete during The RBC Decathlon with a football target toss.<\/p>\n

The RBC Decathlon, which recognizes and rewards fundraising\u00a0alongside\u00a0athletic prowess, gave qualifying participants the chance to prove their skills\u00a0in such events as pull-up, bench-press and the\u00a040-yard dash.\u00a0 Adding to the excitement,\u00a0one lucky\u00a0decathlete\u00a0even got\u00a0the chance to\u00a0toss a football and win a $170,000\u00a0Aston Martin Vantage<\/strong> convertible, courtesy of Aston Martin Long Island.<\/a><\/p>\n

In the Aston Martin Long Island Football Throw, <\/em>each competitor was given 3 tosses and were scored based upon both\u00a0distance and accuracy of their shots.\u00a0 For example, a 50-yard throw that landed 5 yards from The Decathlon’s target would have been recorded as a 45-yard throw.\u00a0\u00a0The decathlete with the longest toss, Michael Bissmeyer, won the the chance to throw\u00a0the football\u00a0through a target opening and win the Aston Martin.\u00a0 While Bissmeyer didn’t quite have the perfect spiral, he did head home with bragging rights for having the longest, most accurate toss of the day.<\/p>\n

Of course the really big news from this event was how much money was raised for the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center! \u00a0The RBC Decathalon\u00a0raised a very impressive $1.278 million to support\u00a0pediatric cancer research.<\/p>\n
