Advertising Your Promotions

Running a promotion?  Offering a great prize? Don’t forget to advertise it!

Sure, it may sound like common sense… but sometimes it can be an easy thing to forget when you’re caught up in the “here and now” of setting everything up for your promotion.  Especially if you’re on a strict deadline!

If you’re not advertising your $5,000 conditional rebate prize, your $20,000 direct mail promotion or whatever you happen to be insuring at the time, then you risk your promotion becoming a big “bust”.  So whatever you do, make sure to advertise accordingly!

Odds On Promotions is here to offer some Advertising do’s and don’ts to help you out along the way:

Do advertise your promotion on all of your marketing materials!  If you don’t, you risk losing traffic and revenue… and nobody wants that!

Don’t bury the advertising!  Make sure you announce your promotion and the prize being offered where it can be clearly seen!  No one should have to search for it; it should stand out above anything and everything else on your materials.

Do give your sponsors the recognition they deserve!  Make sure their names are posted on the appropriate promotional materials, whether it be signage, banners, presentation checks or otherwise.

Don’t be boring!  Make your promotion stand out above the rest by being creative and using unique approaches.  Need some fresh ideas?  Feel free to check out Odds On’s YouTube channel, where you’ll be able to see past promotions of all kinds that other people have done.
