Promotion Aimed at Graduating Seniors a Big Success

Dover, Del. – To make the most of their participation in Senior Day at the University of Delaware, Price Scion in New Castle gave graduating students the chance to win a brand new Scion, paid for by Odds On Promotions, if the last six digits of their Social Security number matched the last six digits of the displayed Scion’s VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).

According to Sasha Walsh, Director of Marketing for Price Auto Group, “This is a young audience – graduating seniors – so we put a Scion on display.  We had the Seniors  complete a survey and then they got a chance to see if they had the matching numbers. There was a huge line and as they waited, they got a chance to speak with our sales staff. This was a very successful promotion for us. We collected 400 emails in roughly a three hour time span.”

While there was no grand prize winner, those who participated didn’t go away empty handed. The dealership handed out a number of promotional items provided by Scion.

$1,000,000 Rally 4 Charity

Men Take a Swing at Guinness World Record, Million Dollar Prize
Milford, Conn. – Isidro Martinez of Stratford and Paul Coorssen of Milford attempted to break the Guinness World Record™ for the longest tennis rally and win $1,000,000, paid for by Odds On Promotions, as part of the 3rd Annual Rally 4 Charity fundraiser at Milford Indoor Tennis. Martinez and Coorssen won the right to go for the record after hitting 5,916 consecutive strokes in a qualifier. While the two men tallied a staggering 6,858 consecutive shots in about an hour and a half, an unofficial world record for such a short time period, it wasn’t enough to beat Rally 4 Charity organizers and world-record holders Angelo and Ettore Rossetti who have set the bar high with a giant 25,944 consecutive strokes.  “Win or lose, it was about the charities,” stated Coorssen, and on that front the event was a success, raising around $10,000, the biggest amount to date.  According to World Record holder and Rally 4 Charity organizer Rossetti, “The million dollar prize did help us to capture more publicity – which is good for the charities as well as for tennis. We were very happy with the service from Odds On Promotions. Zak is always very organized and professional.”

Pompano Beach, Fla. – In celebration of September 9, 2009, The Isle Casino and Racing at Pompano Park threw a very rewarding day-long cash giveaway.  IsleOne club members not only got the chance to win $99 every nine minutes starting at noon, but at 9 p.m. the casino drew the names of nine lucky contestants who each got a chance to take home $999,999. The casino placed Odds On’s Lucky Envelopes, each containing a number between 2 and 9 inside 20 Money Bags that were placed on display. If a player could find three “9’s” they’d win the enormous cash prize insured by Odds On Promotions, or take home a consolation prize which was determined from the numbers the player drew.
According to Jennifer Stanton, Director of Special Events, “For the consolation prizes, we went in reverse …starting from the “ones” working up to the “hundreds” that kept the players excited about the size of their consolation prize.” Stanton noted, “Our players love the interactivity of these kinds of promotions. They have more fun. It’s not just us handing over money…they have a hand in their own destiny.”

Post-it® Note Promo Drives Customers!

Newspaper Drives Traffic To Auto Dealer Located Half-Hour Away!
Allentown, Penn.  – Imagine customers so eager to get inside your showroom floor that before you even open they’re lining up waiting to get in … and willing to drive nearly thirty minutes to do so.

That’s what recently happened at Gateway Kia in Quakertown during a recent Post-it ® Note Posted Number promotion. The promotion gave readers of The Morning Call newspaper, based in Allentown, the chance to win a Kia Soul if the number appearing on a Post-it® note affixed to the front of their newspaper matched a number posted at Gateway Kia.

“The results from this “Notice-It” campaign surprised us. This dealership is on the fringe of our market area so we were pretty pleased when we learned that in just the first few hours on the first day, they not only had folks lining up, they had already sold two Kias,” stated Bill Kennedy, Auto Advertising Sales Director for The Morning Call.

Kennedy also reported that as of press time, the dealership was, “Very happy and just amazed by the distance people had traveled to participate. They’ve sold 8 cars and expect to sell more as they work through the remaining 275 leads”.
