Albion Park Rail – New South Wales, Australia – Congratulations to fishing contest winner Billy Plummer of Toronto NSW who recently won $10,000 AUD (about $7,000 USD), courtesy of the Wollongong Game Fishing Club, and paid for by Odds On Promotions.
Plummer won the big cash prize after he netted the “First Place Big Fish” during the Wallongong Game Fishing Club’s 29th Annual Tournament in September. To be eligible to win the prize, the angler had to land the biggest Mako over 250 kg. Plummer, a member of the Lake Macquarie fishing club, did the job, despite some rather nasty weather, when he landed his monster 310 kg shark with 37 kg tackle, fishing on the boat Big Ed.
The Wollongong tournament is a one-day fishing shootout. A total of 17 boats participated.

Anchorage, Alaska – Congratulations to the customers of Renewal by Andersen of Alaska who received a 100% rebate on replacement windows, paid for by Odds On Promotions as part of a weather conditional rebate promotion.
Last autumn Renewal by Andersen of Alaska ran a weather conditional rebate promotion giving anyone who invested in replacement windows during their promotional dates the chance to get a 100% rebate on their purchase, if it snowed 3″ on Christmas Eve.
On December 24th, Mother Nature let the snowflakes fly, and every homeowner who had made a window purchase during the qualifying period received a 100% rebate. Over $91,000 in free windows were given away and Odds On was there to write the checks.
Are you looking to increase your sales this November and December? A weather or sports based conditional rebate is a great sales tool. Not only does it help your advertising stand out from the crowd, but it can provide just a bit of added incentive to help close a sale sooner than later.

Denver, PA – Think that because there is a pandemic, you need to slow down your marketing efforts? Think again! This April, prize insurance winner Brian Johnston of Denver won $15,000 courtesy of NextEra Home and paid for by Odds On Promotions, in a Home Appliance Makeover sweepstakes promotion administered by Cohen-Friedburg Associates, Inc (CFA).
The Sweepstakes was promoted via social media, and designed to bring attention to NextEra Home’s appliance and home warranty programs. After registering and completing a brief survey, contestants were entered for a chance to be the one lucky finalist who would select one envelope out of 100 Lucky Envelopes in order to win the $15,000 grand prize, insured by Odds On, or a $1,000 consolation prize courtesy of NextEra Home.
On April 18th, Johnston was randomly selected, and due to the constraints of Covid-19, instead of getting to choose a Lucky Envelope at a central location, CFA got creative, sending the envelopes to the contestant’s home. While a CFA Representative watched via live feed on their cell phone, Johnston selected and opened envelope #33 (in honor of basketball great Larry Bird) winning the $15,000 grand prize.

Wishing you were watching Tiger Woods instead of Tiger King? Well, you’re in luck! Because we’ve got a can’t miss golf putting winner video for you!
See how golf putting winner Michael Meier of Edgewood, Ky nailed an impressive 94-foot putt and won $5,000, courtesy of Barleycorn’s, and paid for by Odds On Promotions.
Meier won the prize at half-time during the Northern Kentucky University men’s homecoming basketball game after he was randomly selected via a registration form, to participate in the Barleycorn’s $5,000 putting contest. He nailed the shot, sending the entire arena into a frenzy and landing the substantial cash prize.
“I have been watching the contestants over the last couple of years and many have gotten so close. The hardwood is so much faster than an actual green so everything has to be in perfect alignment to sink it,” noted Joe Heil, Barleycorn’s owner and longtime NKU Norse basketball sponsor. “This putt had the speed and the accuracy. It was thrilling to watch!”
Are you looking forward to getting back to business? Email or give us a call today to find out how we can help you make the most of your “grand re-opening” for as little as $500. Or, ask us how you can have a chance to have your own golf putting winner!
Storrs, Conn. – Imagine the pressure of taking a half-court shot at half-time during a big UConn Women’s basketball game. Now imagine making that shot in front of not only Rebecca Lobo, but Kobe Bryant too. Well, that’s exactly what half court shot promotion winner Asher Iglesia, a full-time student at UConn, did last March. Check out Iglesia’s prize-winning shot!
Iglesia, who was a track and field athlete in high school, won the $10,000 courtesy of Wells Fargo, and paid for by Odds On Promotions, in a half-court shot contest that took place during the women’s basketball game at Gampel Pavilion between the UConn Huskies and Houston Cougars. And, this wasn’t just “any” basketball game – it was the game at which UConn retired the jersey of Rebecca Lobo.
Iglesia learned about the promotion, which was designed as a student sports loyalty reward program, via email. The more games a student attended, the more chances they got to be selected for a chance to make the prize-winning shot. After nailing the shot from half-court, Iglesia put his track and field skills to the test, running around the court in celebration.
