Promotion Winner Steven Gordon Wins $5K in Football Contest

Castle Dale, Utah – Promotion winner Steven Gordon of Huntington won $5,000, paid for by Odds On Promotions, after he successfully passed, punted and kicked his way 100 yards downfield and through the uprights at halftime during an Emery High School football game.

The Pass, Punt and Kick contest, which was a fundraiser for the Emery High School Girls Softball Team, gave four fans the chance to win the big bucks if their name was selected in a raffle.

Gordon, who is both a coach and the school’s Vice Principal, purchased a $5 ticket just prior to halftime. He was the third contestant to participate in the on-field promotion. Starting at the opposite end of the field, Gordon threw a pass to the 36-yard line, then punted it downfield. He won the dough after he successfully kicked it through the uprights from the 22-yard line.

Tyler Jeffs, an agent with Farm Bureau Financial Services, assisted the Emery
Girls Softball Team with securing coverage for their promotion and provided color commentary for the on-field skills contest. According to Jeffs, “I’ve been using Odds On for years. Here’s how it works: During a month-long promotional period, the TV station advertised a commercial every day which prompted the viewer to text a specific word to a shortcode. Viewers were then prompted to tune in to the 10 o’clock news each evening for a live drawing. If the names of the six TV shows drawn happened to match all of the shows on the viewer’s list, then the viewer would have scored $100,000, paid for by Odds On! Viewers had to obtain a fresh list of shows each day to keep participating during the span of the month-long promotion.

While unfortunately, there wasn’t a grand prizeswinner, one randomly selected viewer each week still scored a fabulous auxiliary prizes provided by the TV station — in this case, a $100 gas card!

Casino Contest: Need One? We’ve Got One – The Big Draw!

Hey everyone! I’m here to talk about an exciting casino contest that a client of mine in the Southeastern U.S. insured in order to keep players on their casino property for longer periods of time during the month of June: The Big Draw!

If you’re not familiar with Odds On Promotions‘ lotto-based casino contest, The Big Draw, then allow me to explain how it works:

Players swipe their player’s club card at the game’s kiosk and choose six lucky numbers (1-60) on the game’s touchscreen. After making their selections, players receive a ticket with their picks as well as the next drawing time. At the chosen time, the casino staff conducts a live drawing of six random numbers using Odds On’s ball draw machine… and if a lucky player manages to select all six, they’re a grand prize winner!

While The Big Draw can be used on a countertop, super or deluxe kiosk, this specific property used our 4′ x 8’ deluxe kiosk unit to conduct the promotion. Furthermore, the ball draw machine was provided, compliments of Odds On, to conduct the live drawings. Live drawings occurred every Friday during the month of June, which gave players the chance to win $1,000,000… paid for by no other than Odds On Promotions!

Unfortunately, there was no million dollar winner; however, the casino handed out prizes for those players who managed to select a lesser number of matching numbers.
